The Complete Dream Book
Written by Gillian Holloway, PHD
BF 1091 .H58 2001

Have you ever woken up from a dream or even a nightmare and sat there and thought about what it all might mean? The Complete Dream Book may be the answer to all of the questions you may have. On the back of the book it says, "The Complete Dream Book uses the interpretations of 28,000 actual dreams of contemporary dreamers, just like you, to help you access the substance and meaning of your own dreams." I'm sure you could find at least one of your dreams you would like to know about amongst the 28,000! I recommend this book to anyone interested in knowing more about why they see what they do while they are sleeping.

The Native Star
Written by M.K. Hobson
PS 3608 .O25 N38 2010

Set in an alternate version of the American Old West in 1876, this book was fun to read. For a debut novel, it’s a pretty good start.
ENJOY!!
Synopsis excerpt from Publishers Weekly via Amazon.com:
Young country witch Emily Edwards battles a horde of zombies and winds up with a mysterious magical stone embedded in her hand. Escorted by the academically-trained warlock Dreadnought Stanton…Emily reluctantly sets out to meet with warlocks from the Mirabilis Institute in hopes of getting the stone removed…. Clever techno-magical artifacts with steampunk flair, evil Aberrancies, and a unique tripartite magical system provide a colorful backdrop to the politics of the warlocks, the secrets of the stone, and the mystery of Emily’s past.

Chocolat
DVD PN 1997 .D46 C46 2001

This is a film about a women named Vianne who moves to a French town and opens up a chocolate shop. With her nontraditional methods she changes the town peoples way of thinking and gives them a new perspective on life. Johnny Depp stars in this five time nominated Academy Award movie. I recommend watching this movie especially if you like chocolate and are interested in the French lifestyle of the 1940s and 1950s.

Seeing in the Dark
DVD QB 43.3 .S44 2007

A personal insight into amateur astronomy, with excellent photographs of what the amateur astronomer has found in a sometimes homemade telescope. The view of Saturn is very cool.

Written by Stephen King
PS 3561 .I483 A615 2011

Do you ever wonder, “What if…?”  This is your ultimate book!  Stephen King’s reputation of bizarre horror does not play in this story.  This is a believable story of a plain Joe who is given the chance to revisit a tramatic day in United States history in a way that a lot of us have wondered about.
What would you do if you had the chance to change an event that affected the world?
Check this one out!!

Sometimes in life we are truly more focused on our final destination in life. We look upon arriving as the end, but in fact sometimes it truly is more about the journey than the final destination. I picked this book because I did not want to lose sight of where I am. I know one day I will arrive at my final destination, but I don’t want to forget the journey I took to get there. Each picture in this book served as a sort of reminder that wherever you are on your path to stop and enjoy your surroundings. Life truly is a journey and it is our job to live it fully.
